Gris-Gris Voodoo Dolls

Having a Mardis Gras party? It’s time to start planning, because the Fat Tuesday 2025 celebration is Tuesday, March 4. To add some fun and color to your party table — or to present to someone special (or not so special) after the King’s cake is all gone — I created these fun gris-gris dolls that are more quirky than they are menacing. Measuring 8″ tall, our studio original voodoo dolls are made from hand-dyed flour sack cotton remnants. The crazy hair comes from recycled yarn bits, and the heart and bone are ready for strategic pin-poking. Comes with one pin, but feel free to add your own to enhance the power of wishful thinking. (The fleur de lis stuff bucket is sold separately.)

Due to the ever-changing source of yarn bits and canvas pieces, the hair colors and textures will vary and flour sack bodies will range in color from beige to tan.

Want it customized for $5 more? Options include your choice of color for the heart and bone, plus a name in small text (1/4 inch) “tattooed” on the other leg. Comes with a tiny hang-tag that says “I love you to death!” Contact the studio for details using the form below.
