Zippers inserted in the back of a pillow cover are the absolute best way to showcase your needlework on the front side. This technique is decorative but surprisingly easy.
Because so many of the throw pillows I make have custom embroidered fronts, I want to showcase as much of the needlework as possible. In my opinion, a bottom zipper can too often create a lumpy or rigid base for a pillow, detracting from the embroidery. When I discovered how to do a back zipper insertion it was a game changer for me. Here is my tutorial for how to achieve this custom look for all of your pillows.
