Take a look at this gorgeous example of mid century sewing machine design! I picked up the machine and its cabinet for just $12 at a neighborhood yard sale. It works beautifully and my neighbor Carol has the manual and all the parts.
Aside from having an incredibly cool design, this is a solid metal piece of machinery. It barely makes a sound when I’m sewing, and it has several longer stitch settings than my machine, which makes it great for basting.
This great find almost makes up for the foolish mistake I made a few years back when I gave away a mint condition Singer Featherweight. Oh well. Win some, lose some.
